How AstroLegacy Works

AstroLegacy is a professional planetary transit analysis tool that helps you understand how current planetary movements affect your natal chart. No registration required β€” open the app and start right away.

1. Open AstroLegacy

Go to astrolegacy.astrologynumerology.org. The app loads instantly β€” no registration or login needed. You will see a settings panel on the left and a results area on the right.

2. Enter your birth date and time

In the "Birth data" section, fill in your date and time of birth. If you don't know the exact time, check the "I do not know the exact birth time" box β€” the system will default to 12:00 noon.

3. Set your birth location

Use the "Birth location" search field to find your city. The system auto-detects the timezone. You can also click "Show map" to pinpoint the location visually on a map.

4. Configure the analysis

Choose a house system (Placidus is the default, but Koch, Equal, and others are available). Use the "Analysis horizon" slider to set the time range β€” from a few weeks up to 12 months ahead.

5. Click "Analyze transits"

Press the orange "Analyze transits" button. The system calculates your natal chart positions and overlays current planetary transits to identify active aspects and influences.

6. Browse your transit results

The right panel shows a timeline of planetary transits affecting your chart. Use the intensity filter (slider) to show only the strongest influences, or the planet filter to focus on specific planets.

7. Read detailed interpretations

Click on any transit row to expand a plain-language interpretation. Each entry explains what the transit means, how it may affect you, and how long it lasts.

What You Can Expect

  • A complete natal chart with planetary positions and house placements
  • A timeline of upcoming transits with intensity ratings
  • Plain-language interpretations of each active transit
  • Adjustable filters to focus on the transits that matter most to you
  • A free tool you can use without registration or installation

Tips for Better Results

  • Knowing your exact birth time makes house placements and the Ascendant far more accurate. Check your birth certificate if possible.
  • Start with the default Placidus house system β€” it is the most widely used and a good baseline for beginners.
  • Use the intensity filter to hide minor transits and focus on the most impactful planetary aspects first.
  • Try different analysis horizons: a short range (1–3 months) for immediate planning, or a longer range (6–12 months) for a big-picture overview.
  • You can toggle "Hide ASC/MC axes" if you want a simpler view without Ascendant and Midheaven axis lines.

FAQ

Is AstroLegacy beginner-friendly?

Yes. The interface guides you step by step, and all transit interpretations are written in plain language so you can understand them even without astrology experience.

Do I need to install anything?

No. AstroLegacy is a web app that runs directly in your browser. Just open the link and start.

Is there a free option?

Yes. You can run a full transit analysis for free, including natal chart generation and transit interpretations.

Which house system should I choose?

Placidus is the most common and works well in most cases. If you are familiar with other systems (Koch, Equal, Whole Sign), you can switch in the dropdown. If unsure, stick with Placidus.

What if I don't know my exact birth time?

Check the "I do not know the exact birth time" option. The system will use 12:00 noon, which gives reliable results for planetary sign placements but less precise house positions.

How do I read the transit results?

Each row shows a transiting planet, the aspect it forms to your natal position, and an intensity rating. Click any row to expand a detailed interpretation explaining the meaning and duration of the transit.
